Terms & Conditions

Our programmes are designed for children aged 5–16. A parent or legal guardian (aged 18+) must create the account, provide consent, and remain the primary account holder throughout the engagement.

• Course purchases become active on receipt of full payment.
• Session slots are booked via the parent dashboard. Please rebook or cancel at least 12 hours in advance.
• No-shows without notice are considered attended and non-refundable.
• Coaches reserve the right to reschedule up to twice a term with 24-hour notice.

• All fees are listed on the Courses page in USD or INR (auto-detected by geography).
• Payments are processed securely by Razorpay. We accept credit/debit cards, UPI, netbanking, and wallets supported by Razorpay.
• GST at the prevailing rate is applied to Indian transactions. International invoices are exclusive of any local taxes the buyer may owe.
• All prices are exclusive of currency-conversion charges levied by your bank.

Please see our dedicated Refund Policy for detailed rules. In short: a 50% refund is available within 60 days of purchase provided fewer than 2 sessions have been attended; thereafter refunds are pro-rata on unused sessions less a 10% administrative fee.

Chess is a game of respect. Students agree to:

• Attend classes with camera on (where feasible) so the coach can see the board and expressions.
• Behave respectfully toward coaches and classmates — no interrupting, name-calling, or offensive language.
• Not share the class link, session recording, or homework material with anyone outside the class.
• Complete homework honestly without engine assistance unless the coach specifically instructs otherwise.

Our coaches are background-checked and follow a strict safe-space protocol. Live sessions are attended by a coach and one or more students only; no 1-on-1 off-platform contact is permitted. Any concern — however small — may be reported confidentially to info.64square@gmail.com and will be acknowledged within 24 hours.

Sessions may be recorded solely for coach-review and progress-tracking purposes. Recordings are retained for a maximum of 90 days and are never published, sold, or shared outside the coaching team without the parent's explicit written consent.

All content on the Platform — including course structure, curriculum, homework, worksheets, videos, logos, and branding — is owned by the Academy and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You are granted a personal, non-transferable, non-commercial licence to use the material for the student's learning during their active enrolment. Redistribution, resale, or public posting is prohibited.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. Please notify us immediately at info.64square@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

We may suspend or terminate an account for material breach of these Terms — including harassment, sharing class links, or chargeback abuse. In such cases refunds are governed by the Refund Policy.

While our coaching materially improves chess skills for the vast majority of students, we cannot guarantee specific tournament results, rating gains, or scholarship outcomes. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to the Academy in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Neither party will be liable for delays or failures in performance caused by events beyond reasonable control (natural disasters, war, government action, widespread internet outage, etc.).

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra. Parents outside India retain any non-waivable statutory rights under their local consumer law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
